Treating Diorrhoea in Children and Babies

Diorrhoea can be very unpleasant at the best of times but it is especially hard on children and babies. we wanted to share with your our tips on surviving it as well as some over the counter medicines available.
  • Keep them hydrated with water containing salt and sugar. Dioralyte is great for this but is only suitable for children over one. Dioralyte is used to replace the salt, glucose and other minerals that are lost during episodes of diarrhoea and vomiting.
Also available in Citrus and Natural Flavor

  • If your child won’t drink Dioralyte then you can use flat 7up (boiled and cooled to remove the fizz).
  • Give them foods they like but avoid anything fatty or spicy. foods like banana, potatoes and rice are great.
